Since establishing the company in 1995, Performance Plants Inc. has worked closely with farmers, field testing our proprietary technologies in such crops as corn, soybean and canola. We are practical and market-driven, providing the crop traits farmers need to protect crops, maximize yields, enhance productivity and improve profitability in their operations.

Higher yielding crops are needed by farmers to overcome yield reduction caused by global warming and depletion of fresh water reserves. As well, the increased demand for food and biofuel will require even more productivity from the land.

The company has licensed its breakthrough technologies to several of the world's leading seed companies such as Syngenta, Stine and Scotts. When combined, PPI licensees control over half of North America's seed market. Today, the biotech trait market is worth $5 billion annually and grows at approximately 15% a year.

The company's goal is to responsibly increase food and biofuel crop productivity to provide for the needs of the world.
